Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • This scrum master will be leading an agile scrum team for the IFS payment and financial accounting application within.
  • The primary initiatives for 2022 will include an implementation of capitated payment processing through this system and bringing on new Medicaid state business with additional related security enhancements.

Ideal Background:

  • Ideally, the candidate has some experience with payment or finance systems, but strong experience as a scrum master is more critical to the role.

Team and Team size:

  • 11 team members.
  • 1 Tech Prod Mgr/SA; 5 QEs; 5 Engineers

Top Responsibilities:

  • Program Increment (PI) planning
  • Sprint planning
  • Leading the daily standup for the agile team
  • Assisting the team in managing the Features, User Stories, tasks, defects in Rally
  • Coordination with business stakeholders throughout the sprints
  • Coordination with upstream and downstream system contacts for end to end alignment
  • Project management to ensure deliverables within the sprints meet the initiative targets
  • Coaching the team on agile best practices
  • Maintaining & reporting out PI & Sprint capacity/velocity/points metrics

Skills/attributes Required

  • 4+ years as a scrum master leading complex initiatives
  • 4+ years with PI planning & sprint planning
  • 4+ years experience in project management
  • 2+ years using Rally for work management and delivery metrics

Skills/attributes Preferred

  • Knowledge or experience with the Oracle EBS platform would be a benefit
  • Experience in an agile team for a payment or financial system would be preferred.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills to be able to juggle multiple initiatives and guide the work of 11 team members
