Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • Position is on the development team that supports the United Strategic Platform (USP) team that supports fulfillment activities (ID Cards, benefit summaries, letter communications)

Ideal Background:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge and skills developing SQL queries (MySQL)
  • Knowledge of the Healthcare Insurance business
  • Ability to shift priorities on short notice
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Team and Team size:

  • 26
  • 1 PM, 4 SAs, 12 Developers, 8 QEs.

Top Responsibilities:

  • Work with our business partners to identify and document Feature level requirements
  • Turn feature level requirements provided by business into detailed technical requirements and solutions that will be used by the development teams for coding and testing requirements
  • Manage communications between the development team and Product Owners/Business Partners ensuring that all requirements and needs are understood and agreed upon by all parties
  • Participate in Feature/User Story acceptance sessions
  • Ability to document business and technical flows
  • Provide support to the Business and Development teams in the defect identification and remediation process

Skills/attributes Required

  • 2+ years experience working in a collaborative environment
  • 2+ years experience working cross functionally between the Business and IT
  • 2+ years experience working in a very fast paced environment with tight delivery timelines
  • 2+ years experience working in an Agile development environment
  • 2+ years experience interpreting data model diagrams and relational data structures
  • 2+ years of knowledge and skills using Visio or the Mac equivalent
