Ideal Background:

  • Healthcare experience is helpful but not required. Knowledge and understanding of APIs and data-related technologies will be more critical.
  • I like my UX designers to have excellent soft skills for collaboration, be flexible with their processes, and move quickly.

Top Requirements:

  • a. 5+ years: Collaborate product teams to create design requirements with design tools, frameworks, methodology
  • b. 2+ years: Prior experience with facilitating design workshops
  • c. Promote inclusive experience design

Team and Team size:

  • They will be joining a large UX team with one lead, four designers, one accessibility engineer, two researchers, and 1 UI copywriter.
  • There are 2 Pos, two dev leads, and typically one scrum team they’ll be working with for the API platform..

Top Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate product teams in UX design workshops for product development
  • Collaborate product teams to create design requirements with design tools, frameworks, methodology
  • Drive a data-driven learning approach that enables product teams to adopt solutions toward achieving desired outcomes
  • Encourage innovation, creativity, and collaboration
  • Proactively seek out feedback from users/customers, product development teams, and stakeholders
  • Promote inclusive experience design
  • When needed, advocate for experience design needs to partner Product teams or 3rd parties

Skills/attributes Required

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on information architecture, human-computer interaction, interaction design, product design, cognitive psychology, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a digital design context
  • Prior experience with facilitating design workshops
  • Demonstrated skill in user experience design or user-centered research processes and deliverables
  • Experience with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, InVision, Axure, etc.)
  • Knowledge of common user-centered design activities

Skills/attributes Preferred

  • Experience with enterprise software and the medical or healthcare domain
  • Professional experience working in a highly interactive development team
  • Involvement in the UX community (e.g., meet-ups, clubs, conferences)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of user interaction analytics and measurements
  • Solid understanding of designing for Accessibility standards WCAG/508
  • Experience with Figma and Axure
