Description:

  • As a Principal IT Developer, you will be responsible to architect, design, and implement new or enhanced application integration solutions.
  • This role will focus on applications and integrations in the Surgical Innovations Operating Unit. Work with a highly skilled project teams of developers, architects, and business analysts following an iterative development methodology (Agile).
  • May include a variety of software platforms including Oracle, Microsoft SQL server, Snowflake, Process automation tools, and other cloud vendor applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of designing and architecting advanced, database-driven integrated technology solutions including conceptual design and architecture.
  • Establish a close relationship with business users, enterprise architects and others in the IT workgroup to ensure that the business needs are understood and are being met / planned for appropriately.
  • Participate in and/or lead architecture, development, and design sessions for complex multi-platform applications.
  • Create technical design and architecture documents.
  • Present proposed design solutions to users and management in a timely, comprehensive, and understandable manner.
  • Conduct code reviews and testing in accordance with industry best-practices and defined team processes
  • Establish best practices and ensure compliance to software development policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for quality and delivery of advanced, integrated, and diverse technical products in accordance with business requirements and departmental standards.
  • Participate in establishing team software development processes including source code control, build, and code review processes.
  • Constantly seek ways to increase efficiency in the delivery of services, while maximizing our value to the business.
  • Manage multiple design, development, and other related tasks concurrently.
  • Develop and maintain a broad and deep understanding of current software and application development technologies
  • Represent the SI IT organization as a key technical contact on projects. Interact with senior personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Lead troubleshooting initiatives for complex issues that arise.
  • Expected to independently determine solutions.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in process, technology, and team collaboration.

Must Have (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree

Desired Qualifications :

  • .Net web application development
  • Experience with design thinking and prototyping
  • Experience with GitLab source code control
  • HP ALM quality Center test evidence
  • Experience in integration and API architecture
  • Familiar with Agile Scrum project delivery methodology
  • ServiceNow & JIRA for bug/enhancements/case tracking, production change management, and configuration management

In compliance in compliance with state laws and regulations related to job posting requirements, the salary range for this role is $15.00 -$115.00 per hour (hourly rates in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
