Job Description:

  • Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses.
  • May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document. Familiar with variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • May lead and direct the work of others.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • May require a bachelor's degree or 7+ years experience.

  • 5 - 7 yrs of experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret regulations, technical standards, guidance documents, test reports, clinical and medical terminology, technical product information and complex documents.
  • Highly proficient computer skills in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Publisher and Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with FDA and EU environments and associated compliance regulations.
  • Accurate use of grammar and style. Knowledge of regulatory requirements relative to Clinical Evaluation Reports.
  • Experience with technical writing and document development / generation. Innate ability to learn new software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in the area of technical/clinical applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, contractors and vendors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience dealing with a diverse workforce.
  • Strong multitasking ability in conjunction with proven organizational skills.
  • Ability to organize assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment and concurrently monitor tasks / assignments with others that may impact timely completion.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and activities simultaneously.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Draft, revise, review route and approve documentation.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in documentation best practice.
  • Attends and participates in meetings and discussions to define and capture documentation changes.
  • Captures meeting notes and tasks and notifies key stakeholders in a timely fashion.
  • Follow up with team members and cross functional team members to encourage timely review and approval.
