- Develop ETL programs using SQL, Shell scripts and Perl or Python in a Linux environment.
- Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
- Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
- Assist in resolving production support problems and help meet pre-defined SLAs for system availability.
- 6 years of experience with UNIX operating system mainly with LINUX.
- 4+ years of Shell scripting experience.
- 4 years of current and hands-on experience with SQL and Relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, Vertica or Snowflake).
- Executing and monitoring jobs in UNIX/Linux environment.
- 2 - 3 years of Cloud (Azure/AWS) experience.
- 2 years of experience with Source Code Control systems preferably GIT, SVN etc.
- Telecom domain understanding.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends.
- Contribute to design, develop, and potentially lead other specialists / developers on digital transformation engagements modernizing existing platform (Unix/Linux, Informatica, vertica, Teradata).
- Utilize provided information and appropriate frameworks to develop assessment materials to understand client needs and drive technical activities to completion.
- Conduct legacy asset analysis, code restructuring and refactoring, code conversion. Perform business logic extraction and build executable business rules.
- Experience in develop code based on Requirement documents and create a defect free software product.
- Implement service-enabled, rules-based solutions on either Midrange or distributed platforms as well as other modernization offerings(Cloud).
- Responsible for development, support, maintenance and implementation of a Complex Migration Projects.
- More than 6+ years of experience as a Senior developer using Unix/Linux development, support.
- Experience in migrating Midrange applications to the cloud or on-premises virtual infrastructures and Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
- Able to analyze and learn complex applications independently.
