Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • We are spearheading the cloud modernization initiative within the Digital Services Group .
  • As part of this journey we are rewriting our suite of portal applications/products in our chosen technology stack (react , node js , typescript, material UI ,java, Drupal deployed on Microsoft commercial cloud ).
  • One of the key goals of this program (in the react technology space ) is to establish a COE around UI and component design/reusability , the concept of creating shared reusable UI components and services .
  • The aim of creating reusable component libraries is to reduce the time to market, increase reuse of our products and reduce technology footprint for common capabilities which are currently duplicated across multiple LOB’s.

Ideal Background:

  • Candidate needs to be experienced in hands on delivery of code .

Team and Team size:

  • Candidate will be working with a scrum team of about 10 resources (1 PM, 1 scrum master, 3 onshore product engineers 5 offshore product engineers)

Top Responsibilities:

  • Hands on development of code in react, react js, redux, redux saga, typescript. and Java
  • Will work as a senior/onsite UI resource within the scrum team
  • Work with offshore and junior resources to guide them.
  • Part of agile scrum team , scrum ceremonies, refinement sessions, code reviews

Software tools/skills:

  • Skilled in React, Node JS, Agile team .

Skills/attributes Required

  • Must be able to deliver hands on code
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must work with offshore to guide their deliverables. Must review code deliverables.

Skills/attributes Preferred

  • Product engineer who has worked hand on react projects. React and or java , minimum 3-4 years experience agile framework Microsoft Azure / cloud experience
