POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • The Sr IT Developer is a key member of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team responsible for operation, management, and support of our IAM Systems.
  • This position provides technical solutions for issue primarily in Siteminder and Azure, including, but not limited to Single-Sign-On development and is a part of the IAM delivery team, responsible for operational fitness of the system(s) through support, monitoring and response, and system lifecycle management.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Technical Operations
  • Operate, manage, and support IAM systems.
  • Provide support for issues ranging from moderate to high complexity for IAM systems and related system integrations.
  • Ensure system availability, capacity, and performance including ownership for logging, monitoring, and alerting standards, processes, and systems.
  • Mentor / coach team members and provides technical guidance
  • Plan and manage system upgrade and patching projects, in collaboration with local and offshore teams, and platform subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Participate and/or lead initiatives (examples of initiatives include: training, deployment, hardware review, integrations)
  • Research and escalate open issues or recurring problems with applications/systems to determine root causes and resolutions
  • Communicate with vendors as needed to understand and research open issues, new versions, or changes
  • Process Improvement
  • Identify, analyze, design, document, and implement technical or process improvements within current standards and architecture; partner with platform owners to advance improvement opportunities that may require more significant change
  • Define and develop policies and procedures for system operations to ensure consistency, reduce rework, and improve quality
  • Perform review of projects or support tickets to ensure standards are upheld and business needs are met
  • Documentation
  • Manage and improve technical documents for system operations and support
  • Document SOPs, work instructions, and knowledge base articles as needed
  • Participate in projects across the team to deliver new technologies, process improvements, and business value.
  • Maintain current, relevant industry knowledge to understand evolutions and advancements in the marketplace which could bring value to the team or the company
  • Participate in POCs and projects for new capabilities or solutions to determine project requirements or feasibility as needed
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for evaluating and designing, developing or modifying programs for internal functional areas including finance, human resources, and marketing.
  • Analyze existing programs and/or formulate logic for new systems.
  • Develop system design documentation (including GUI design, if required), perform coding, and test/debug programs.
  • Create ad hoc or Bolton programs for integrations or functional business teams as needed. Develop conversion and system implementation plans.
  • Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.
  • Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
  • Train users in system enhancements and modifications.
  • Provide patch and software upgrades to existing systems as required.
  • Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation for program support.
  • Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
  • Works closely with functional users to enhance and maintain programs.

  • May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area. Contributes to the completion of work group objectives, through building relationships and consensus to reach agreements on assignments. Innovation and Complexity: Problems and issues faced are difficult, and may require understanding of multiple issues, job areas or specialties .
  • Makes improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area. Analysis provided is in-depth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements.
Communication and Influence:
  • Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Exchange information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decision making.
Leadership and Talent Management:
  • May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.
  • May manage projects, requiring delegation of work and review of others' work product .
  • Required Knowledge and Experience:
  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Requires a University Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
