Summary of initiative

  • Reduce backlog of technology security assessments, in preparation for taking on work from additional CDOs. Clearing backlog reduces residual risk and strengthens compliance posture.


  • Any experience evaluating medical device security.

Team and Team size:

  •  Member of a 3-person team with significant backgrounds in infrastructure operations and IT Security.
  • Each teammate performs the same job function, assessing technologies from an IT Security perspective.
  • Existing team primarily assesses new technologies, this position will primarily evaluate existing technologies that have never been through an assessment.

Top responsibilities:

  • Protect organization's data assets by performing security assessment of new technologies being introduced into the organization.
  • Evaluate architectural diagrams to ensure technology is being deployed securely. Prepare architectural diagram if needed.
  • Collaborate with vendors and business partners to secure required documentation.
  • Collaborate with vendors and business partners to develop remediation plans if the technology presents an unacceptable risk.
  • Prepare assessment reports documenting requirements for implementing/operating the technology.

Qualifications of ideal candidate:

  • 10 years experience in one or more areas of IT operations
  • 5 years experience in cybersecurity, including cloud security
  • Experience in a regulated industry, preferably healthcare
  • Experience identifying security risks associated with technology
  • Experience creating and interpreting architectural diagrams
  • Ability to align security requirements with business objectives
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with partners, clients, and peers
  • Bachelors degree in technical or scientific discipline
  • Security certification such as CISSP, CCSP, CEH

Working Time:

  •   8-5, M-F

Interview Process:

  •  Video interview will consist of two rounds: screening interview with manager (30 minutes), interview with prospective teammates (1 hour). Interview will contain both technical and behavioral questions. Ready to start as of 9/13/21.
