Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • CMS Interoperability compliance work in support of Line of business. We are building API platform that we support exchange of data with Payors in FHIR standards

Ideal Background:

  • CMS Interoperability compliance work in support of Line of business. We are building API platform that we support exchange of data with Payors in FHIR standards
  • Azure/Java/API, SpringBoot experience in Agile Delivery model. Healthcare background with experience in data standards like FHIR, HL7, JSON.

Experience:

  • Familiar with HL7 FHIR and deep knowledge of REST API and security.
  • Experience with EHR clinical integrations (HL7 Implementation Guides, IHE Profiles or custom protocols)

Team and Team size:

  • Team includes 1 PO, 3-4 Software engineers, 1-2 Quality Engineers . Skills include Java, JSON, Health care data standards, API, Azure

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product owners, systems analysts and software engineers to deliver against an agile roadmap
  • Work with architects and other software engineers to evaluate functional and non-functional requirements and deliver creative, high quality solutions
  • Design, develop, test and maintain data intensive applications including Java, , Azure or AWS, relational and non-relational data storage, APIs
  • Follow and improve on processes for continuous delivery and DevOps within your team
  • Build and main configuration management and automation tools, deployment strategies/processes, monitoring tools.
  • Experienced in Software Engineering practices like Reliability Engineering, Deployment planning, Fault Tolerant architecture, Test Automation.
  • Experience in Data As a Service and Container As a Service models.
  • Experience in incident ticket tracking tools and processes like ServiceNow
  • Collaborate on quality strategies that ensure our data platform is correct, resilient, scalable and secure
  • Support applications throughout the SDLC from design to Production Deployment
  • Participate in and provide input for system analysis, design walkthroughs and code reviews
  • Participate in defect review and triage
  • Adhere to design/coding standards and constantly improve the way we build and deliver software

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of designing and implementing Java based applications
  • 1-2 years experience in Azure or AWS
  • Working knowledge of RESTFul APIs
  • 6+ years of relational database delivery
  • 4+ years of experience in Agile Delivery
  • 2+ years in Dev Ops Automation tools (Oozie, Python etc.)
  • Experience in working with DevOps teams in an Agile Delivery/onshore-offshore model (5-10 headcount)
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to describe data/capability stories (and not defects) and explain value (and not resolution) to customers.
  • Experience in HealthCare industry standards like HL7, FHIR or SMART
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

  • Healthcare experience, Prior experience in building Platforms with focus on APIs

Working Time:

  • 7:30 am CST - 4 pm CST. There might be situations where some customer meeting can run into 5 pm CST.

Interview Process:

  • 2-3 rounds via video/phone.
