Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • Behavioral Health (BH) : Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Mobile App: This project is an effort to rewrite "myLiveAndWorkWell" app that is currently in the app store for BH-EAP members

Ideal Background:

  • Ideal candidate should be well-versed in Android app development, understand mobile debugging, and have experience connecting to RESTful services.

Experience:

  • We are looking for 1 Sr Android engineer. Expertise in mobile design to implementation into the app stores.

Top Requirements:

  • a. Kotlin (or Android Java) - 5-6 Years
  • b. Mobile App development - 8-10 Years
  • c. Agile - 3-4 Years
  • d: Android Architecture Components, Android Data Binding, substantial experience in MVVM

SOFT SKILLS:

  • The candidate needs to listen and work collaboratively within a scrum team.
  • The candidate should be able to grasp unique business requirements and constraints and work within those confinements.
  • As a senior engineer the candidate must be able to coach and mentor early career engineers.

Team and Team size:

  • Teams are generally 3 to 4 developers split between Android and iOS mobile development. This position will focus on the Android development.

Top Responsibilities:

  • Attend regular scrum meetings.
  • Design and develop software.
  • Unit test software.
  • Participate in architecture/design reviews.
  • Collaborate with service developers in order to understand APIs.
  • Deliver on time and with quality.
  • Create and implement patterns.
  • Mentor early career engineers.

Software tools/skills:

  •  Kotlin (or Android Java), Agile Methodology.

Skills/attributes:

  • Real-world Android development experience, Kotlin, API calls.

Nice to have:

  • Full-stack experience, Jenkins experience,
  • Cloud (Origin, AWS, or Azure), Java/Microservices Architecture

Working Time:

  • 40 hours / week

Interview Process:

  • Initial phone screening, followed by deep-dive technical interviews. Both sessions will have some kind of coding challenges.
