Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • OCEP is a marketing platform on Azure sql DB, streaming & data ingestion to the data mart.

Ideal Background:

  • Healthcare background knowledge preferred

Experience:

  • Coach, provide feedback and guide others

Top Requirements:

  • Design and develop reusable Talend ETL job flows that meet customer requirements while upholding high standards of reliability, security, maintainability, and performance.
  • Able to integrate with multiple data sources utilizing various technologies such as ODBC, FTP, API, Kafka in platforms such as Windows, Unix/Linux.
  • Thorough understanding of fundamental software engineering and computer science principles
  • Perform software quality assurance

Team and Team size:

  • scrum team 7-9 members
  • developers – 3 to 4, Scrum master, PO, QA, DBA, ARCH

Top Responsibilities:

  • Building/changes to data ingestion platform, performance tuning, testing, deployments. [Detailed in section ‘PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES’]

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with business users to understand and document business and technical requirements to drive design and development
  • Collaborate on the design of physical structure and implementation of database objects
  • Document and build physical database objects from table, column, index and view definitions
  • Develop scripts for the creation of the physical data warehouse tables, views and macros
  • Adhere to data security and protection policies
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) and system performance, including optimization and tuning of data loads
  • Understand job and activity schedules to promote optimal performance, maximize availability and minimize data latency and data load duration
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Proactively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies and share acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and communicate timelines clearly

  • Identify/quantify scope and impact of business changes on systems
  • Worked in cloud infrastructure like Azure.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 – 7 years of experience as an ETL developer in data warehouse environment using tools such as Informatica or Data Stage, preferably Talend
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing methodologies and concepts, including ETL processes and dimensional data modeling
  • Experience with system integration across multiple systems and platforms utilizing various technologies such as ODBC, FTP, Window, Unix/Linux, and AS400
  • Experience working with high volume databases with partitioned data, performance and tuning
  • Experience working with cross functional development, QA, test and production teams
  • Proven track record of meeting project deadlines and delivering high quality consulting services
  • Experience with complex SQL queries, PL/SQL knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge in Java would be preferred.
  • Experience in Kafka streaming process.
  • Knowledge on Agile Methodology

Working Time:

  • 8-4:30pm
