Role Responsibilities:

  • Provides overall direction and guidance within an architecture portfolio to effectively support the corporate business strategy. Prioritizes and focuses on value delivery and requires hands-on work.
  • Supports variety of architectural disciplines and champions' architectural initiatives. Partners with distributed Architects including Security, Data, Cloud, and Solution Architects.
  • Support programs to develop, maintain, and govern the enterprise architecture across the organization. Develops architectural policies, standards, and guidelines supporting target-state architecture models.
  • Manages exceptions to architectural standards at an enterprise level balancing compliance, innovation agility, and business responsiveness.
  • Develops a communication plan for architecture at portfolio level. Defines, explains, and advocates enterprise technology strategy in business terms and context promoting business outcomes, value and results to the organization and senior leadership.
  • Supports business capability and infrastructure technology roadmaps to guide senior business leadership discussions and decisions making.
  • Builds and maintains strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders including; Global IT partners, Business Relationship Managers, and senior business leaders and suppliers.
  • Provides strategic consultation to business and IT leaders, including regional and functional Business Relationship Managers. Works with business leaders to understand business requirements and help them understand how technology tradeoffs influence strategy. Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities.
  • Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains. This includes product and innovation roadmaps in Sales, Marketing and eCommerce, IoT Connected Services, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Supply Chain Management and Advanced Manufacturing Technology.
  • Directs the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends.
  • Collaborates with project management office (PMO) and IT leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements.
  • Participates in Leadership and Portfolio level scoping and gauging future architecture consumption and scaling needs.
  • Participates in leadership of the architecture team, including interviewing and hiring, training, staff development, and performance reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, system analysis, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of IT and business/industry work experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning and operations.
  • 10+ years' experience working with all components of holistic enterprise architecture, business re-engineering principles and processes, and basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of application integration, maintenance, architectural integrity, quality assurance and performance of applications
  • Proven experience managing third party software providers including Cloud and Software as a Service (SaaS) service providers
  • Demonstrated experience with providing IT architecture services with both internal resources and external third party providers
  • Proven knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC, Agile) execution models; good understanding of ITIL Framework
  • Ability to estimate the financial impact of enterprise architecture alternatives.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing global teams and influencing key stakeholders.
  • Proven strategy and roadmap development experience, ideally with reference architecture and system rationalization execution experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred candidate has manufacturing industry experience
  • An MBA would be a plus.
