Description:

  • This position will support the Government Operations Appeals and Grievance analytics and reporting team.
  • They will produce daily, weekly, and month end reports to various business users and executives on the state of the business and call out any urgent or action items identified in the reporting

Ideal Background:

  • Healthcare background would be beneficial, especially experience with medical and pharmacy claims, CMS Star Ratings, and knowledge of appeals and grievances within a health insurance industry.

Team and Team size:

  • There are 7 members of my team all of who work on different projects.
  • Most of the team have analytic functions and are savy with data analysis, data manipulation, ad-hoc data pulls via SQL or SAS and use Excel and Powerpoint to present their findings.

Top Responsibilities:

  • This candidate will be responsible for daily generation of C&S Medicaid inventory reports, performance guarantee reports, HRA star rating reports, and misc reports as requested by the operation.
  • In most cases, this candidate will not need to create and generate a new report from scratch but will be assisting other members of my team with data pulls and report generation for existing recurring items.

Skills/attributes Required

  • Data analysis (5+ years), Microsoft Office especially Excel and Powerpoint (5+ years), SQL programming (2+ years), SAS Enterprise Guide (2+ years).

Skills/attributes Preferred

  • Having data analysis experience within the health insurance industry focusing on claims and Star Ratings would definitely set this candidate apart from others.
  • We really need someone who is very savy digging into large datasets and presenting outcomes from their findings.
  • We use Excel, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SQL to access our data so experience with those tools is essential.

Working Time:

  • 8am - 5pm weekdays

  • Phone interviews, probably 2 rounds
