  • Enterprise hosting services is looking for a senior data scientist who can help with developing advanced analytics solutions to optimize data center performance.

Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • In EHS, we are trying to improve our operations by applying advanced analytics like machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.

Ideal Background:

  • Someone with software engineering or STEM background and has experience in applying advanced analytics to help improve operations by developing solutions investigating large structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Open to working with ambiguous requirements and open-ended problem statements.
  • Work effectively on a team while collaborating with others.
  • Being able to present ideas and translate data related items to non-technical audience.

Experience:

  • Previous experience developing and implementing machine learning model at scale into production and making them operational within an organization.

Top Requirements:

  •  Technical:
    • Python or R: 5 years
    • Tensor flow or Pytorch: 3 years
    • Sql (querying data from various sources): 5 years
    • Github: 3 years
  • Behavioral:
    • Work effectively on a team while collaborating with others.
    • Work with integrity and bring ones best self to work everyday.
    • Open to share and discuss ideas and commit to work even when their ideas are not accepted.

Team and Team size:

  • Scurm team which has 5 developers. One team manager. The candidate will probably collaborate with a larger group of senior leaders within the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Researching, designing, implementing and deploying full-stack scalable machine learning solutions to support intelligent operations initiatives
  • Conduct hands-on data analysis and predictive analytics on large datasets
  • Effectively communicate complex technical results to business partners
  • Support and drive analytic efforts around machine learning and innovation
  • Work with a great deal of autonomy to find solutions to complex problems

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics or related technical field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing analytics with machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and/or other related modeling techniques
  • 3+ years of experience using advanced data science tools such as R, Python, SQL, Spark and H2O
  • 3+ years of experience developing and deploying analytic solutions using AWS/Azure/GCP
  • 3+ years of experience wrangling large datasets with big data tools such as Hadoop, Hive and Spark
  • Experience applying computational algorithms and statistical methods to structured and unstructured data
  • Experience breaking down and clearly defining problems
  • Experience communicating highly technical results to a diverse audience
  • Solid execution mentality

Interview Process:

  • a. How many rounds? 2. One with the hiring manager or Senior Member of the team. One panel interview.
  • b. Video vs. phone? Video
  • c. How technical will the interviews be? Very technical.
  • Everyone within immediate org including the senior director is very hands on.
  • We except the candidate to be well versed with modern technology stack.
