Job Description:
Data & Analytics

  • Data and Analytics – People and Marketing Team functions include: 
  • Decision support for people changes and reviews (e.g., op model changes, talent planning, pay equity)
  • Program measurement for HR teams (e.g., L&D impacts, Leadership Development)
  • People and data reporting and dashboards (recurring and ad-hoc)
  • Performance reporting for marketing campaigns and media vehicles
  • Data development for marketing data ecosystem, inclusive of media monetization, focused on data management, integration and automation
  • Marketing analytics, inclusive of media mix optimization with measurement by channel and overall message
Project Description:
  • This individual is responsible for strengthening the analytics, decision science capabilities, and business outcomes the designated subject area of Client by enabling the relevant subject area data across the enterprise.  
  • This person will understand: (i) how data unlocks the measurement and analytical goals of the enterprise, and (ii) the granular technical infrastructure necessary for success.  
  • This individual will partner and engage with Digital & Technology, Data & Analytics, business, vendor, and consultant constituencies to measurably improve the quantity, quality, and level of integration of data across the enterprise.
Position Summary/Job Description:
  • The Data Steward makes well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous data issues and establishes the data stewardship and information management strategy and direction for group.
  • Effectively communicates to individuals at various levels of the technical and business communities. 
Responsibilities:-
  • Data stewards carry out six key responsibilities, that otherwise would be overlooked in a data governance program:
  • Define the data and identify assets within their own data domains.
  • This ensures there isn’t conflict with other data elements.
  • Create processes and procedures along with access controls to monitor adherence.
  • This includes establishing internal policies and standards—and enforcing those policies.
  • Maintain quality of the data leveraging cross-functional feedback; internally reporting metrics; evaluating and identifying issues; and coordinating and implementing corrections regularly.
  • Optimize workflows and communications.
  • Monitor data usage to assist teams, share best practice trends in data use, and provide insight into how and where teams can use data to help in day-to-day decision-making.

  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of peers and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity.
  • Results-oriented, diligent, and works with a sense of urgency. Assertive, responsible for his/her own work (self-directed), have a strong affinity for defining work in deliverables, and be willing to commit to deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity and precision both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Business intelligence, reporting, analytics, data modeling and test data management tools.
  • Technical expertise in data architecture principles and design aspects of various DBMS and reporting concepts.
Additional skills that would help:
  • Ability to navigate matrix organizations effectively.
  • Influential, focused, and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of key database platforms as well as SQL queries, including tuning for performance.
  • Experience with Business intelligence, reporting, analytics, data modeling and test data management tools.
  • Three + years of experience leading data architecture or engineering function.
  • Three + years of hands-on data experience, with demonstrated increase of responsibilities over time.
Qualification:-
  • Education (Minimum Requirements): Bachelors Degree (4 yr)     or     Not Applicable    
  • Experience (Minimum Requirements): List months or years of experience and describe requirements below:
  • 5 or more years - Experience in retail, research, analytics, business, or related area required.
  • 5 or more years - Experience using data & analytics tools, applications, and platforms required.
  • 3 or more years - Experience in project management.
  • 3 or more years - Experience in change management.
What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?
Preferred experience
:
  • 3 or more years - Experience writing SQL.
  • 2 or more years - Experience in managing and leading the work of third parties. (Includes on-staff contract workers as well as third party tool and application partners)
