The objective for this Role:

  • The Business Analyst will facilitate assigned projects by serving as a liaison between users and developers, setting and communicating goals, and evaluating and refining results based on data-driven analysis.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize requirements from various stakeholders.
  • Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders
  • Work with product managers to inject data into decision making and planning to increase confidence in outcomes via defining KPI, designing and building reports, dashboards.
  • Discover, organize, and clarify business needs and review/produce specifications for change
  • Work with the Technical Analyst and development team to ensure that they understand the specifications.
  • Work with training team to document system scenarios and Assess change-proposals and define solutions to help the organization achieve its goals
  • Conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality testing team.
  • Work with a team of developers, and testers to analyze business requirements for delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with product owners and business subject matter experts to elicit business requirements and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Perform story analysis to determine conditions of satisfaction and ensure acceptance criteria is clearly defined.
  • Manage the evolution of user stories and other backlog items, including breaking down the stories, eliciting conversations, and facilitating story refinement sessions.
  • Work with cross-functional team members to ensure user stories are concise, comprehensible, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.
  • Work with the development team to support data analysis to measure efficiency and effectiveness of a system.
  • Answer ad hoc questions and provide clarification or direction to development and support teams regarding user stories and functions.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of project documentation.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Education Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Sciences

Years of Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree 4+ years of relevant experience or masters degree 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of complex software IT reporting solutions and ability to apply to client needs.
  • Solid understanding of system development methodologies
  • Must have knowledge of and experience in software integration processes as well as knowledge of software testing
  • Must have experience with agile development and backlog planning/grooming
  • Experience in statistical analysis utilized to interpret and verify data
  • Experience in the development and support of integrated business applications process definition, requirements definition and technology solution research
  • Experience in facilitating small to large groups through challenging discussions
  • Collaboration skills to proactively interact with and manage Data Architects, Developers, Business Analysts, Functional Users, and other team members throughout the project life cycle.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral presentation, and written communications skills
  • Ability to understand end-audience needs and requirements
  • Knowledge of proper requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, use case development, process flow diagrams

Nice to Have

  • Strong technical background and experience in Data Science platform
  • Knowledge and experience in the medical device industry
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall Methodologies
  • Experience in the medical software development processes such as IEC 62304 or other regulated software development
