  • Team is looking for a Data Engineer with at least 4 years of ETL, SQL Server, SSIS and SQL performance to support our projects which span multiple markets.
  • This person must be located in the US (cannot be offshore) due to the membership involved with our work.
  • The 2 primary projects of focus are:
  • Standing up MW IT's SQL Server to support the region's Clinical Quality Platform (Cozeva inbound and outbound files).
  • Other projects involve the region's Risk Operations Reporting and other data warehouse work effort which we want to migrate to our SQL Server. a
  • Supporting the Colorado DW Sr Architect with various facets of DW work, including but not limited to data loads, QA, creating extracts and running jobs.
  • This person will be part of a technology organization of over 25 people, but will be working closely with the Mtn West Cozeva Program team (4 people -- Director of Bus Sys Analysis, Sr BSA, Lead BSA/PM and BSA) and the Colorado Market's Sr Architect.

The top 5 responsibilities for supporting Cozeva Program will involve

  • creating tables, views, stored procedures and SSIS packages on our SQL Server;
  • identification of indexes and other methods of optimizing DBMS;
  • data load and QA efforts of data in DBMS;
  • teaching team members on SQL Server;
  • support organization's needs with other project/efforts which involve our SQL Server.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, business administration or related field (4+ additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelors degree)
  • 3+ years of strong ETL experience, SQL Server experience (Version 2005 or higher), T-SQL experience
  • 3+ years of strong Visual Studio (Version 2005 or higher), SQL SSIS experience, SQL Performance Tuning
  • 3+ years of experience working closely with business and IT stakeholders to define problems and design large-scale, enterprise class solutions
  • 5+ years of strong Data design and Data modeling experience
  • 3+ years of IT experience with data collection, processing, analysis and reporting
  • 2+ years experience in Healthcare Industry with Quality/Process Improvement
  • 2+ years of experience with business requirements gathering and documentation

Interview Process:

  • Interview process will include call/video conference with hiring manager, team members and other Mtn West Technology team members (e.g. VP of IT, Director of IT). Expect 2-3 rounds. Expect technical questions regarding SQL Server experience (see above for examples of work effort).
