Description:
  • This is technically a "support" role - the candidate will not actually be building APIs.
  • Rather they will be supporting our customer's developers who are integrating their systems with our APIs.
  • So having a background in API development would mean the candidate would have all the skills required to provide support to another developer. 
  • Many years of experience is not required - an entry level developer with some tangible API development and API testing experience would suffice. 
  • Also, a candidate who is not a developer but who has solid experience assisting developers with integrating APIs for their company would work. 
  • Lastly, a candidate who is not a developer but who has tested many APIs in detail with tools like Postman and SOAP UI (perhaps they were in an API QA team for example) would also work. 
  • Solid communication is a must.
  • Do you have any project information you could share? We are migrating 25 customers off of a third party platform and onto our new Open Banking APIs for Credit Card Services. 
  • We need these resources to help, guide, and hand-hold the developers of these 25 customers during the phase where they are integrating with our APIs. 
  • The developers may need assistance with implementing mTLS, with understanding why their malformed API calls aren’t working, and understanding unexpected values they may be getting back in the API response. 
  • They may have questions about the business rules of the APIs as well.
  • Any selling points in joining your team you would like to share? We are a very fast growing team with a lot of opportunity.
