POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • The Sr. Internal Communications Specialist is a part of the Employee and Change Communications Center of Excellence (COE) within Corporate Internal Communications.
  • This position plays a critical role in partnering with the Clinical Research, Medical Science and Regulatory Affairs communications team on delivering communications planning and execution to drive employee engagement, attract and retain talent and drive business strategies forward for the function.
  • This person will partner with the Senior Director of Communications for Clinical Research, Medical Science and Regulatory Affairs to deliver content strategy, digital planning, message development and execution for the VP of Clinical Research and Medical Science and the SVP and Chief Clinical and Regulatory Officer.
  • This role is also responsible for ensuring consistency of on-brand messaging across internal communications channels, as well as executing a social media content strategy for the Chief Clinical and Regulatory Officer.

A DAY IN THE LIFE :

  • Support the Clinical Research and Medical Science organization in developing overall employee engagement and communications strategy and execution
  • Handle the creation and implementation of multiple forms of internal strategic communication activities, programs and content guided by the company's  Mission and overall business strategy
  • Build social media editorial content consistent with established leader social media strategies for LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Lead strategies, produce content, and organize events to help align the organization's goals in support of greater employee engagement and business impact Write, edit and publish stories, leader messages and other content in accordance with our content strategy
  • Develop impactful leader presentations through narrative and visuals Collaborate with communication team to identify and leverage compelling and strategic storytelling opportunities

MUST HAVE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree required Minimum of 5-7 years of marketing communications, or communications experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of communications experience
  • Excellent verbal, writing, editing and organizational skills
  • Effective collaboration with colleagues, teammates as directed; possess sense of teamwork.
  • Superb people skills - must be comfortable working with colleagues both in person and remotely, across time zones and geographic regions

NICE TO HAVE :

  • Healthcare industry experience preferred Clinical Research, Medical Education or Regulatory Affairs experience preferred Experience working with and coaching senior leaders
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED :

  • Experience with or working knowledge of programs and applications such as PowerPoint, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and various desktop publishing
