  • Determine objective/scope/requirements by interfacing directly with the customer and studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements;
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
  • Identify areas for improvement by studying current practices
  • Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
  • Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
  • Validate resource requirements, establish acceptance criteria
  • Conduct and coordinate research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs of the client group
  • Present options to customer based on recommendations
  • Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes

Top Responsibilities:

  • An individual filling the Technical Business Analyst role should be comfortable being introduced during a pre-sales engagement and can articulate possible solutions applicable to experience with Cloud-Based Software solutions, API integration, and data marts.
  • The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for writing technical specifications (for custom development, system integration, etc.) based on interactions directly with the customer and project team. Specifications will need to be precise and clear as the Technical Business Analyst instructs fellow team members such as developers, QA, consultants, or product owners.
  • The Technical Business Analyst must have an agile mindset and ability to translate requirements into capabilities, features and use cases.
  • The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for working with the solution architecture team on overall design (custom or product strategy) as well as recommending best practices for solutions based on client business needs.
  • The role will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements.

Skills/attributes Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • MS Visio proficiency
  • Experience with Cloud Solutions and/or RDBS
  • Basic competence in at least one programming language (e.g. JavaScript, C#, etc.)
