Project Description:

  • This position will be responsible for the development of knowledge and expertise in the support of companywide fraud analytics program targeting SVC activity with all Client Channels.  
  • The position will be responsible for researching activation and redemption of SVCs, looking to identify gift card scams, including victim assisted fraud, money laundering, arbitrage and other related crimes both externally and internally focused.
  • This role will use data to identify trends and gaps and will develop and maintain business rhythms to mitigate and monitor gaps that allow fraud across the enterprise keeping up with global trends. 

Position Summary/Job Description:

  • Acts as a subject matter expert of fraud analytics as it relates to SVCs, connects pieces of data to find important patterns or anomalies then develops solutions and cases as needed based on findings. 
  • Work on incoming victim loss claims to support possible fund recovery.
  • Review and work through SVC data to identify trends, fraud, scams, reseller activity as it relates to SVCs
  • Responsible for creation of additional reporting needed to combat SVC fraud
  • Responsibly accesses and utilizes PCI data per company compliance. 
  • Partners with multiple external financial institutions as it pertains to SVC fraud. 
  • Builds a solid network of cross functional partners including Finance, Profit Protection, Retail Operations and ERC, to create working relations where this position uses data to support and mitigate loss across the company. 
  • Communicates gaps in systems when identified and offers risk mitigation for solutions.

  • Communication skills (both verbal and written), detail-oriented, works well both as part of a team and individually, multi-tasking, and understands how to handled confidential and sensitive data.

What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?

  • Advanced SQL query writing ability
  • 4 + years’ experience in data analysis
  • Proficient with Exception Based Reporting, Word, PowerPoint and other systems used in analytics and report creation, presentations.
  • Ability to work in a Hybrid work environment (On-site and remote)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, interface and present to leadership effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
