Description:

  • The Senior Mirth Engineer will come in as a SME and help find and address Gaps in existing implementations, and help in hands on implementation of engineering best practices under direction from Leadership.
  • These resources will also help drive long term improvements on Mirth processes and workflows.
  • They will also work on new implementations for CDSM and ensure that all delivered solutions adhere to industry best-practices for scalability, maintainability, usability, availability, extensibility, security, and portability.
  • They will also ensure high quality solutions by implementing unit tests, driving continuous integration/validation, and supporting the creation and design of automation tests.
  • This position requires solid hands on Mirth experience of at least eight years in the Healthcare Payer domain.
  • Knowledge of Intersystems IRIS and HL7/FHIR standard are a big plus.
  • This is a fully hands on role. The Senior Mirth Engineer will work across globally spread out scrum teams.
  • If the candidate fails to deliver on the above needed skills, the person can be moved off the contract with one-week notice.
  • Initial engagement is expected to last for 4-6 months. Depending on additional work this may get extended.

Qualifications

  1. BS in engineering, computer science or similar field of study.
  2. 8+ Years of hands on experience with Mirth/Nextgen Connect.
  3. In depth knowledge of ADTs, Discharge Summaries, ORUs & CCDs.
  4. 3+ Years of experience with Agile/Scrum.
  5. 5+ Years of experience with HL7 V2.

Additional Qualifications

  1. Familiar with clinical domains CPT, ICD, LOINC.
  2. EHR clinical integrations.
  3. EHRs workflow (EPIC, Allscripts, Cerner etc.) .
  4. Experience implementing solution according to HIPAA and Privacy rules especially in relationship to payers domain.
