Position Summary:

  • The Copywriter will craft and edit compelling, on-brand copy for various Brand Marketing projects, primarily Social Media and Public Relations-related content.
  • They will also contribute to idea generation while always editing to the brand voice and ensuring that end results meet or exceed our brand and quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Writes and edits concise, compelling copy that drives engagement and builds relationships with the Social Customer and Media contacts. Primarily:
    • Daily Social Media post captions across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, etc.
    • Reactive & in-the-moment Social & PR communications
    • Public Relations collateral & key media + influencer communications
    • Brand content for Mall Partners Social Media & Web support
    • may also include other projects, as bandwidth requires
  • Partners with strategy, Social team, designers and analytics to bring social-related copy to life. Uses brand positioning and content strategy to tell an engaging, editorial story.
  • Collaborates to ensure all messages align closely with and complement the seasonal and overall strategy to support consistent brand positioning. Meets ongoing deadlines.
  • Presents concepts and finalized projects to Social + PR Teams and Strategy leadership
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field
  • 4-8 years of professional writing experience with a portfolio dedicated to concise communication and inspiring editorial ideas.
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices for Social Media specifically, and Marketing broadly, with a particular focus on editorial content and/or retail.
  • Highly organized, attentive to detail and able to meet multiple fast-paced deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and project manage key business priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player and positive, proactive attitude with great interpersonal skills; ability to brief senior leaders, foster relationships with cross-functional teams, and be solid partner and collaborator with immediate team members
  • Ability to think innovatively and creatively and change course if necessary, to achieve desired results
  • Results oriented, must be willing to take ownership of all assigned responsibilities and adhere to deadlines
  • Proficient in MAC, Word, Keynote/Powerpoint and Excel
  • Retail, fashion, beauty and/or journalism experience preferred
