KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

  • Proven project management experience on progressively challenging projects. Minimum of 5 years of project management specific work.
  • Thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of own profession and discipline. Thorough understanding of project management phases based on PMBOK:
    • Initiate
    • Prepare: definition/scope/requirements
    • Execute & Control: scope, workplans, resources, deliverables, Q/A, transition planning, etc.
    • Close: completion and assessment
    • Monitoring and Control Knowledge of project management tools and artifacts how they can be used to manage information, processes, and stakeholders (i.e., RAID log, status reporting, project schedule, etc.)
  • Understanding of IT organization and operations knows the context of how the project fits into that landscape
  • Experienced working in large, global, complex organizations
  • Strong and tested project management skills, including sponsor and risk management.
  • Understands who is the client and what are the client's needs; provides realistic expectations; establishes specific customer satisfaction standards and actively monitors client satisfaction.
  • Able to adapt to changing situations
  • Strong MS Office skills especially Excel and PowerPoint Above average communication skills – written and verbal

RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Prioritizes work and anticipates consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change. Sets and meets realistic deadlines.
  • Forecasts changes and communicates current and projected issues with quality, scope, or schedule Creates within the team a shared focus on the importance of achieving results, as required.
  • Creates work standards for project in alignment with guidance from Cybersecurity PMO. Lead and/or facilitates planning and/or implementation of work activities, as required to achieve organizational objectives.

DESIRED

  • PMI certified (PMP, PgMP, etc.)
  • Technical background (data networks, server/storage, etc.)
  • Familiar with working in established PMO environments
  • Regulated industry experience, especially Pharmaceuticals or Healthcare
