JOB SUMMARY:
In this role you will support the Legal department working with business contacts, internal IT colleagues, and vendors in support of Legal software & data. This role will require you fulfill various roles ranging from business analyst, project manager, technical SME/IT consultant, and technical writer. You will need to evaluate in scope software/data and determine what tasks are necessary to ensure the proper transition of application functionality and/or data in support of the stakeholders. We are looking for someone with expertise in a variety of areas, and the ability also take ownership of every project/task assigned regardless of the team support. We are looking for someone who will find creative solutions to problems weighing cost, effort, and delivery times. You will engage with various IT teams for support, but be asked to critically evaluate solutions other teams provide to ensure any issues or outliers are thought through and mitigated. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to achieve results consistently and at a high level, even with vague requests. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, willing to be hands-on, very detail oriented, and be comfortable handling many tasks/projects simultaneously and ensure that we are delivering excellent results as quickly as possible.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system
• Defines project scope; Develops functional specifications; Prepares Preliminary Systems Design document.
• Understands customers’ objectives, processes, and products in order to make educated recommendations.
• Acts as liaison between Business and IT, as assigned Supports the Application Subject Matter Experts in development of estimates / validation of suppliers’ estimates.
• Supports application testing, implementation, and training activities.
• Performs quality review checks on project deliverables.
• Supports users in building Business Case, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope, and development of a high level plan.
• Drives day-to-day prioritization of work on capabilities, working with business.
• Oversees Business Requirement gathering and analysis.
• Supports Application SME in creating the Conceptual Design of system, where appropriate.
• Provides expertise in project management and business analytics in support of IT systems.
• Able to quickly understand customers’ business processes and products.
• Authors business requirements based on stakeholder interviews and assessments of current stakeholder applications/processes.
• Creates and manages project schedule in enterprise project tracking platform (Rally).
• Performs quality review checks on project deliverables.
• Validates suppliers estimates.
• Specifies / recommends integration and parallel testing criteria.
• Supports the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues, as required.
• Acts as liaison between Business and IT, as assigned.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Project management (prior Project Manager experience highly preferred)
• Stakeholder management
• Technical writing
• Communication
• Requirements gathering/solicitation
