RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Actively, participate in discussions with various business units and IT teams and communicate technical solutions in business-friendly language.  
Design, develop and maintain solutions on the Salesforce platform including, but not limited to, custom fields, workflows, process-builder flows, custom settings, Apex, VisualForce and web-service APIs
Lead technical team sessions to conduct research and architect sustainable, streamlined, and declarative-first solutions on assigned topics. 
Create technical architecture and detailed design documents for Salesforce-based solutions to meet business requirements
Support all software releases, as required, to deliver new and maintenance work to production
Troubleshoot and support production, as needed, engaging in research of issues and fixing defects
Ongoing Learning:  maintain current knowledge on Salesforce technology for both current and upcoming Salesforce releases
 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
 
Required:
Experience in Salesforce application architecture
Experience in solution architecture
Experience in application development platforms and/or languages
Experience in DevOps and continuous integration and deployment processes and tools
Experience in integration technologies; preferably MuleSoft
Proficient in iterative/agile/scrum development
Prototyping and process flow skills
Knowledge of Salesforce development best practices of implementing declarative first, click-not-code, solutions
Experience creating and maintaining custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, workflows, processes, and other declarative skills
Experience debugging and troubleshooting issues
Experience  with imperative programming options and best practices: Visualforce, Apex, and others
Experience  designing and connecting Salesforce to other applications/systems via Salesforce and third-party APIs
Extensive knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Excellent in teamwork, collaboration and communications skills
Proficient in Lightning solutions and best practices
Knowledge of Salesforce application and ability to explain and mentor developers and admins
Analytical thinker with excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with a solid customer service focus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems and/or a related field 
5 years of experience with Salesforce development or equivalent combination of education and experience
Progress toward SFDC Application or Systems Architect certification (see Addendum)
Knowledge of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud concepts and their impact on design and implementation.
Ability to articulate design considerations, trade-offs and benefits, and will recommend solutions to support both business and technical needs.  
 
Preferred:
Proven ability to recognize issues and opportunities within the business domains, functional interdependencies and cross-silo opportunities
Demonstrated ability to apply architectural principles, methods and tools to business challenges
Broad understanding of technology and how it’s used to drive business growth and/or efficiencies
Salesforce CPQ knowledge
Team leadership experience
Typical/expected % of overnight travel:    Approximately 10% travel may be required based on project needs
