Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • As part of our Common Digital Capabilities (CDC) team, in this role you will play a significant part in developing and supporting digital solutions used across member-facing portals, such as Global Navigation and Global Search.
  • You will work in an Agile Scrum team, collaborating closely with the business product management and members of a global engineering team.
  • You will apply your skills in a highly dynamic, innovative, forward-thinking environment that follows industry best practices and fosters engineering culture.

Ideal Background:

  • Proven technical leadership experience is a must. Healthcare experience is preferred but not required

Experience:

  • 1) Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development experience.
  • 2) Experience with search platforms, such as Apache SOLR or Fusion.

Top Requirements:

  • a. Proven experience leading UI development activities (3+ years)
  • b. 7+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • c. 7+ years of working JavaScript experience

Primary Responsibilities

  • A qualified candidate is a senior frontend engineer who would work as an individual contributor and also lead UI delivery of a small globally distributed team of frontend developers. He/she will:
  • Serve as a leader and a mentor to less experienced developers
  • Review the work of others
  • Design and develop software applications and application components
  • Create high-quality software by conducting peer design and code reviews and developing automated test cases
  • Ensure that all delivered solutions adhere to industry best-practices for scalability, maintainability, usability, availability, extensibility, security, and portability
  • Work with Agile geographically distributed teams
  • Work closely with product management and other stakeholders to aid solution development
  • Leverage the latest technologies to solve complex problems facing the health care industry
  • Ensure high quality solutions by implementing unit tests, driving continuous integration / validation, and supporting the creation and design of performance, load, and user acceptance tests
  • Participate in a rotational 24x7 on-call support as needed
  • Work outside of standard office hours as needed and, on occasion, support night-time releases

Required Qualifications:

  • 1. Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field
  • 2. Proven experience leading UI development activities (3+ years)
  • 3. 7+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • 4. 7+ years of working JavaScript experience
  • 5. 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern front-end development frameworks, such as ReactJS/Redux
  • 6. 3+ years of working experience with CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1. Experience working in a micro-frontend architecture
  • 2. Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development experience
  • 3. Experience with search platforms, such as Apache SOLR or Fusion
  • 4. Working knowledge of Agile development lifecycle and CA Agile Central
  • 5. Advanced communication skills; the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts
  • 6. The ability to successfully manage work priorities in a dynamic, high-demand environment

Team and Team size:

  • 1 Scrum Master, 3-4 UI Developers, 2-3 Java Developers.

Working Time:

  • Standard office hours, with the occasional need to support late-night deployments and production emergencies.

  • o How many rounds? 2-3 rounds.

  • o How technical will the interviews be? In-depth technical questions will be asked.
