You will serve as a technical expert focused on engineering, developing and maintaining the core applications and technology which supports Sleep Number’s Supply Chain operations. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning new technology / modern toolsets but have a solid foundation in Supply Chain Management modules within Oracle’s EBS R12 ERP system. You will be able to work in an entrepreneurial environment, and partner closely with a team of technologists and product managers to develop innovative solutions and tools with a “customer first” mindset. This role is open to a remote worker in the US, otherwise will reside at our Headquarters location in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a technical expert leading the design, delivery, and support of applications with an agile mindset
  • Design, develop, build, test, implement and maintain Oracle R12 EBS software components to deliver capabilities to support the business requirements
  • Design and develop RICEF components in Oracle and other systems using a variety of methodologies and patterns
  • Build modern UI and integration components using Oracle APEX application development framework
  • Ensure the performance, quality, scalability, security, observability and responsiveness of applications 
  • Provide thought leadership and best practices with fellow engineers supporting Supply Chain products and systems.
  • Provide clear communications to stakeholders regarding outcomes, timelines and issues
  • Focus on enhancing the customer experience through applying User Centric design principles
  • Maintain a pulse on emerging technologies, experiment and drive innovations

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Operational excellence of Sleep Number’s application platforms
  • Proven experiences in applying automation techniques and tools for a companies SDLC practices
  • Deliver/enhance applications with high quality and customer delight
  • Mentor/Coach team members to build software using industry leading practices

Position Requirements: 
  • Senior level development experience with Oracle EBS Application R12 (12.2.3) or higher
  • Experience with Oracle supply chain modules including Order management, Inventory, Discrete manufacturing, WMS and Purchasing is required
  • Deep expertise with Oracle Development frameworks including PL/SQL, Oracle APIs, business events, BI publisher, forms, reports, concurrent programs, and workflow
  • Experience with Oracle APEX application development, Oracle web services, and ORDS (Oracle REST Data Services) programming is required
  • Experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF), ADF and Transportation Management Systems are desired
  • Familiarity with integration patterns using XML, JSON, REST APIs
  • Working knowledge of source code and configuration management solutions such as GitHub
  • Working knowledge and administrator experience of Continuous Integration strategies and tools such as Jenkins
  • Operating Systems: Linux / Unix, Solaris

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
  • Creative problem solver, with strong analytical skills
  • Collaborative aptitude and experience working in a fast paced, ever-evolving environment
  • Technical leadership experience on medium and large-scale initiatives is desired
  • Experience working with agile/scrum methodology required
  • Ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across a variety of audiences, both technical and nontechnical
  • Experience with configuring and deploying resources in AWS, Azure or GCP

Working Conditions (if applicable): 
  • Flexible availability required – business needs may require work during non-core business hours
  • Typical office environment, requiring at least 8 hours standing or sitting
