Description:

  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Software development responsibilities include executing software development life cycle activities from software requirements; design and implementation through design verification.
  • Develop software test strategies including regression analysis.
  • Develop test plans and test cases for software components.
  • Develop, test and integrate software using current software technologies.
  • Responsible for fault isolation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis activities during system integration and testing for systems in development and on-Market.
  • Apply the latest software design and development tools and techniques as required.
  • May be required to direct, mentor or coordinate (not supervise) work of more junior staff members

Education/Experience

  • B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering discipline including Software Engineering; Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering is required.
  • MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience covering the entire software lifecycle in a team-oriented environment.
  • Requires experience in one of following programming languages: Java, Groovy, JavaScript (Server side using Rhino interpreter) or (Client Side JavaScript framework React).
  • Development experience is needed for Linux as a target platform.  
  • Experience with development of applications using Oracle or PostgreSQL and writing both DML and DDL commands, and design efficient data persistence.
  • Experience with UML formal object-oriented design notation is required.
  • Experience in developing container ready applications and orchestrating containers is a plus
