Position Description:

  • Senior IT Technologist Regulatory Systems Process Team:
  • The Sr. IT Technologist will work alongside other IT Business Analysts and IT Technical Architects, gathering business requirements, performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, translating business requirements into functional requirements, and creating functional specification documents, and take care of software design & development in support of the Unified Product View (UPV) Portal and other EU-MDR related initiatives.
  • The Sr. IT Technologist must be able to lead design workshops and sessions with BAs and the development team all within the context of company's MSCM policies.
  • Solutions will need to be global, cross-OU, and cross-functional (Regulatory, Quality and IT). Should have good communication skills and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the successful implementation of UPV enhancements. Key partner for the IT PM and accountable as a team for all project life cycle phases, with emphasis on translating user requirements into functional specifications for any associated Data Mapping, Interfaces, Integration, Enhancements, and Process design needs.
  • Work independently with end-users and business partners to assess the business customer requirements, match these requirements to objectives, processes and products including developing specifications and enhancements that will achieve the customers and business goals
  • Work with technical colleagues to effectively translate the functional specs into technical specifications and solutions.
  • This role will be required to do hands on development as well be able to partner with other development teams.
  • Maintain documentation, including solution, functional specification, and architectural documents.
  • Plan, develop, and implement advanced concepts, techniques, and standards that support the strategic objectives of the program.
  • Ensure proper validation documentation is created for all projects (i.e. MSCM).
  • Provide detailed functional knowledge and maintain insight to current industry best practices and how they can be applied to company. 
  • Ensure that company's  systems and the information on them are protected in accordance with company's  Information Protection Policies and Standards, as well as best Information Protection practices.
  • 5+ years experience as an IT Technologist
  • Experience in business process definition, business process improvement, requirements gathering and definition, and technology solution research.
  • Ability to lead end to end development/deployment of web applications
  • Assist with and ensure compliance to Data Governance standards and data policies.
  • Ability to write conversion specifications, functional specifications, and technical specifications for adding functionality or enhancements.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or business-related discipline.
  • Comprehensive understanding of complex software and information technology solutions and ability to apply to client needs.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills in issue resolution and integration aspects like interfaces and cross module transactional data.
  • Experience in facilitating small to large groups through challenging discussions.
