Our client, a membership-based organization in the technology space, is looking for a Director of Communications to join their team. The perfect candidate will have a passion for technology, influencer marketing and engagement, social media, public relations, and executive communications. This is an exciting opportunity to join both an established organization and to create a communications strategy for our client’s new venture!

Responsibilities:

  • Create communications strategy including media and public relations, blogs, social media, online publications, executive communications, and internal/external communications.
  • Build and maintain relationships and secure placements with influencers in the industry
  • Responsible for media relations including securing media placements, participating in live interviews, writing for keynotes, speaking engagements, and more.
  • Develop and maintain the voice of the CEO and executive communications including speaking engagements, preparing for media interviews and appearances, live speeches, etc.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver on the communications and PR strategy

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA or MS/MA is highly preferred
  • 7+ years of communications experience with B2B, technology, and/or membership-based organizations.
  • Passion and knowledge about technology (ERP, SAP, Google Cloud, etc.) is important
  • Strong experience in Social Media, Public Relations, and Executive communications
  • Proven track record of developing communications plans that drive results
  • Energetic leader and persuasive influencer with excellent verbal communications skills. This is a hands-on position requiring writing and speaking to our client’s community, analysts, and members of the organization.
