General Job Information:

  • A Release Coordinator typically is responsible for owning the planning and coordination of all phases and activities involved in the release of a system or system update into the production environment.
  • They own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and communication management of software releases across multiple applications across various portfolios.
  • This role is also responsible for improving the software development processes and practices with continuous builds and deploy of updates and new releases.
  • Typically we would expect to see release notes, approvals, communications, contact lists and pre and post-release verification activities also managed by .
  • The Release Coordinator position requires software and web application sdlc experience , strong organization and communication skills and the ability to interface with cxt and product development teams.
  • The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced deadline driven team environment and has an enthusiasm for new technologies , the release coordinator will works for release manager.

Position Overview:

  • Measure and monitor progress of application releases to ensure application releases are delivered on time by forward planning the release windows and cycles across the portfolios
  • Facilitate release planning meetings with key stakeholders to identify proper sequencing of release packages
  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
  • Maintain a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining change requests and HPSM tickets with appropriate details needed to execute projects and releases.
  • Preparing agenda for meetings and leading the meetings as needed.
  • Document detailed meeting notes with discussion details, decisions made, next steps, action items, issues, and risks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams within CXT
  • Establishing, documenting and improving internal release management and triage processes
  • Maintaining confluence pages and dashboards
  • Reporting on CR statuses and escalating any risks to Release Manager
  • Organize and conduct post-implementation meetings to collect improvement suggestions for future releases
  • Organize and facilitate the Change approval board meetings and schedules of the change requests for CXT.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise Change Management team to get CR approvals
  • Collaborate with QA team to obtain testing status and documentation
  • Collaborate with PO’s to obtain release schedules and CR information
  • Create standard change templates
  • Create and maintain email templates for release communication

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field, mathematics or computer science a plus
  • Experience in software or web application development SDLC
  • Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to interact with cross-functional teams (for example, senior stakeholders, technical leads, user experience, design, web, technical content, quality assurance, support, product development teams, etc.)
  • High degree of initiative
  • Ability to handle multiple releases and tasks simultaneously

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence software
  • Knowledge of Agile methods such as Scaled Agile Framework techniques is a plus
  • Knowledge of full release management lifecycle
  • Proven ability for release planning, release execution and support with appropriate release management documentation.

Skills:

  • ITIL v3 Foundations: Intermediate
  • Business Analyst: Expert
