Project Description:
- Ongoing Product work as an efficient development team (moving towards full Agile) which will include custom-built software solutions and/or packaged software.
Position Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced full stack engineer who wants to work on an agile development team.
- Our technology stacks include (among other things) Groovy, Java, Spring, React, Angular, .Net, PL/SQL. Our ideal team typically follows all day pairing (for everything – coding, meetings, analysis, and documentation) and rotates pairs every day.
- An ideal candidate can quickly assess a technology landscape to make architectural decisions and pivot to building solutions with a Test-Driven Development mindset.
Top 5 Skills:
- Building the simplest possible thing that will continually deliver working software to end users
- Service development, REST, HTTP, Java, Spring or Groovy, JSON
- Experience in building web UI with ReactJS, or other JavaScript frameworks
- Prioritize, communicate clearly, and consistently deliver results
- TDD, paired programming, code reviews, and aggressive refactoring
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of modern deployment, CI/CD, and configuration management tools
- Ability and aptitude to dig into and solve challenging problems and proactively avoid problems
- Scripting, automation, and troubleshooting of processes and systems
- Networks, security, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and other infrastructure components
- Understands and is willing to work with integrating 3rd party software systems (e.g. Blue Yonder/JDA, OneDoor, Liferay DXP, Symphony Retail, IBM MDM, IBM BAW)
