Role Summary:

  • Digital Factory Tech Lead owns the technical and architectural decisions for the program, valuing simplicity and willing to challenge technical constraints and procedures to achieve agile design.
  • A good Factory Tech Lead is keen to get hands-on, actively helping the teams solve the biggest problems.
  • This individual is an executor as well as the visionary force behind the technical solution.
Responsibilities:
  • Design the overall technological architecture of products with the help of product teams and DOF cloud architect Guide product teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration, and automated deployment
  • Responsible for technical design and infrastructure / environments strategy, including deployments, ensuring that these are kept in-line with an MVP mindset of emerging architecture Work with teams to help empower and provide the right tools to deliver sprint goals
  • Mentor and coach the technical teams, specifically with code quality when needed
  • Identify and remove technical impediments Work with Product Owners to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack
  • Constantly look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid to challenge the status quo
  • Provide the teams a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code quality Share responsibility with Product Owners for building reusable and scalable components

Technical Expertise:

  • Seen as an expert within the technical components of the programs/products
  • Seasoned technical lead with deep insight into newest technology trends Significant experience with Agile infrastructure, environments, and deployment strategies / technologies to drive efficient working practices and DevOps
  • Deep tech knowledge around platform architecture, frontend and backend frameworks and cloud (AWS);
  • Must have coding experience; experience in coaching teams
  • Can make architecture decisions at product level
  • Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units

Agile/Digital Experience:

  • Experience in Agile Development, with specific Solution Architect or Tech Lead (or similar) preferred Understands relationship between Product Owner, Scrum Master,
  • Design Lead and rest of the team, with a strong sense of design thinking
  • Experience managing technical priorities within the backlog

Individual Skills:

  • Strong communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions .
  • Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize teams potential
