Role Summary:

  • Delivery Lead owns the development delivery process and leads the Development team to continuously improve it.
  • The DL will drive the teams engineering practices in test driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
  • The DL is a hands-on team member who actively coaches the team to solve complex problems.
  • The TL helps increase speed of delivery, improve quality/security of code, and optimize processes for development team.
  • The TL manages the team responsible for infrastructure-as-code deployment tooling and supporting services on multiple cloud provides along with metrics and login.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide Development teams on speed of delivery, improving quality/security of code, and optimizing processes
  • Mentor and coach the technical team Be hands on and engage in coding to help the team to develop his solution and solve all surfacing problems at hand;
  • Identifies and removes technical impediments
  • Constantly looking for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quo
  • Provides the team a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code quality
  • Identify bottlenecks in coding development and deployment processes
  • Lead planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects
  • Execute on plan by building coding standardizations and automating processes for the organization Lead knowledge growth effort of platform configuration management and troubleshooting
  • Lead Development team in delivering consistent and holistic solution to the organization
  • Collaborate with the rest of Development team to deliver consistent and holistic solution to the organization

Technical Expertise:

  • Seen as an expert within the technical components of the programs/solutions/journeys
  • Excellent coding and scripting skills (e.g. Python, R) and experience with implementing high-scale cloud architectures using modern, cloud-based container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) in AWS and Azure Working knowledge of deployment automation solutions (i.e. Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
  • Expert in Jira, Gitlab, and able to swim hard in Javascript,
  • React, Angular, Selenium and other tools relevant for the delivery of world class software solutions

Agile/Digital Experience:

  • Experience in Agile Development, with specific Solution Architect (or similar) experience preferred
  • Experience as a DevOps or SRE Lead on a cross-functional agile team Understands relationship with Product Owner, Scrum Master, Design Lead and rest of technical team.
  • Experience managing technical priorities within the Backlog
  • Experience with containers such as OpenShift and continuous integration and related tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonar, etc.
  • Demonstrate experience with Kafka
