Role Summary:
  • Platform Product Owner creates, curates and delivers platform roadmap and defines the strategic vision for platform team driven by the overall Digital Factory vision.
  • He / She has a deep understanding of the market/industry and build close relationships with key Business stakeholders to ensure that the teams effort is aligned with overall strategy.
  • A Platform PO manages dependencies with other development teams functions while identifying, building and managing strategic partnership across the different teams.
  • He / She works closely within the Platform team to ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new developments when necessary.
  • Additionally he / she works closely and manages key dependencies of DnA enabler teams (e.g., Kafka, SAP COE) and owns core data engineering pipelines into and from the Digital Factory needed to execute and delivery development teams products, data insights and solutions. Platform PO will be accountable for specific business KPIs based on the area of the product he / she is focused on.

Responsibilities:

  • Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to stakeholders, the team, and the rest of the unit.
  • End to end team output strategy from inception to production Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure digital vision and products align within team strategy and requirements
  • Accountable for product specific KPIs once solution enters production and communicate regular tracking to stakeholders
  • Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team.
  • Maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
  • Facilitates release planning with stakeholders as well as weekly demos Is a key role on Platform team and works with the team on a daily basis Integrates usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer driven design
  • Align outward facing product requirements and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate digital factory platform dependencies with rest of Business Systems

Technical Experience:

  • Proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry
  • Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from tech, design, and business
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of standard precision practices, technology and supporting industry principles.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

Agile/Digital Experience

  • Experienced in facilitating agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.)
  • Deep experience leading with teams in an agile setting

Individual Skill:

  • Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor
  • Strong communication skills with comfort in speaking with business stakeholders
  • Strong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progress
