Main Responsibilities:

  • Partners with architecture and incident response teams to implement tools that enhance intrusion detection and data protection strategies.
  • Provides direction and leadership for other employees and contractors to drive results and ensure consistency with corporate standards and enterprise best practices.
  • Actively engaged in new technology and aware of emerging trends in Information Security.
  • Engages the necessary internal IT resources to enable the technology lifecycle process when needed.
  • Provides single point of contact and hands-on escalation and remediation for critical issues.
  • Proactively communicates relevant technical information and alerts on known issues, hot fixes, new releases, etc.
  • Investigates and triages incidents to determine root cause and proactively prevent similar issues in the future.
  • Provides regular status reports for critical incidents and projects for upper management.
  • Provides second- and third-level support and analysis during and after a security incident.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, accounting, finance, business or related discipline
  • 5+ years of technology experience, including troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis of complex IT solutions
  • Working knowledge of security solutions for intrusion detection and data protection
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform in a command-and-control role under pressure, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources
  • Experience architecting and implementing security processes and tools in a complex, global environment
  • Effective communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with technical staff, lines of business and senior management
  • Familiar with basic scripting and programming concepts, able to execute queries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with modern Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) solutions
  • Experience with Data Loss Protection (DLP) and Cloud Access Service Broker (CASB)
  • Experience with Endpoint protection solutions
  • Experience with Security Operations Center (SOC) integrations and automation tools
  • Ability to consume and synthesize intelligence about actors, techniques, or situations to identify emerging risk scenarios
  • Ability to develop scripts or RESTful services to integrate with enterprise platforms such as Service-Now
  • Industry- specific certifications in information security, including one or more of the following: CISA, CISSP, CISM, GIAC or equivalent certification
  • Ability to build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a matrixes environment, as well as external vendors and service providers
  • Proficiency in process formulation and improvement
  • Knowledge of IT end-to-end problem management and root cause analysis, which is desirable
  • Proficient in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multicultural business environment
  • Knowledge of legal requirements for privacy of personal information from employees and customers
