Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • Eligibility Intake . End to end file processing for eligibility data.

Ideal Background:

  • Healthcare background, knowledge of HIPAA standard, Worked in agile delivery model

Team and Team size:

  • Varies. 1 SM, 6-8 developers, 2-3 QE

Top Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting complex and thorough research of existing processes, systems, systems logic to develop detailed systems specifications to meet the objectives of the assigned projects.
  • Work closely with Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts to ensure requirements and design are completely understood
  • Act as the liaison between Business and development team
  • Work closely with business teams to strategize solutions that support long term business objectives
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared backlog to work on
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Analyze and verify requirements, user stories, and acceptance tests for completeness and consistency.
  • Work with internal and external development, QA and UAT teams to ensure delivered solution meets requirements utilizing acceptance test criteria.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Communicate design to all stakeholders and varying levels of the organization
  • Present and evaluate design solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution
  • Work closely with business teams to strategize solutions that support long term business objectives
  • Lead and mentor other Systems Analysts and Product Owners
  • Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
  • Follow our competitors and the industry
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.

Skills/attributes:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of healthcare experience with exposure to Medicare and Medicaid.
  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Analysis or IT Development
  • 5+ years of experience translating business requirements into a detailed system specification
  • Experienced in data gathering/analysis and writing system requirements and user stories.
  • Exposure to Agile Methodology and familiar with tools like Jira, Rally etc.
  • Experience working with dynamic, highly collaborative teams, requiring close consultation and coordination.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).

Nice to have:

  • Experience managing complex projects
  • Experience as a Product Owner in managing backlog and work prioritization
  • Experience working with test plans and test cases
  • Exposure to ATDD
  • Understanding of distributed technologies & architecture.
