Project Description:

  • Design and development of features that make user generated content and other externally sourced content available for use on and within the company.

Position Summary/Job Description:

  • Coordinating with external content team in engineering efforts that revolve around the collection of content from external sources (ratings and reviews, comments, questions and answers, expert reviews and videos) for client.
  • Collaborating in an Agile engineering environment through participation in stand-up meetings, sprint planning meetings, story mapping, story grooming, retrospectives and analysis tasks.
  • Eliciting requirements from product management and delivering user stories with appropriate acceptance criteria that is suitable for engineering consumption.
  • Working closely with the product team for backlog grooming and prioritizing the sprint backlog.
  • Gathering requirements for distributed solutions that leverage REST (Representational State Transfer) as the integration method.
  • Documenting REST API (Application Programming Interface) URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) structures, filter and sort parameters, API responses and endpoints.
  • Providing support for applications in lower environments and in production.
  • Performing requirements gathering for solutions that leverage Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC (Model, View, Control) and Spring JPA (Java Persistence API).
  • Analyzing and documenting key spaces and tables in Cassandra using CQL (Cassandra Query Language) queries on PuTTY Console. 
  • Gathering requirements for distributed solutions that leverage AMQP (Advanced Message Queuing Protocol) and JMS (Java Message Service) as the integration method.
  • Documenting tickets in JIRA for user stories, issues and defects.
  • Utilizing JIRA Scrum and Kanban boards for day-to-day project management.
  • Working extensively on Confluence and Wiki for document storage, collaboration, scoping, requirements and stakeholder communication.
  • Working very closely with the Business Stakeholders and Product Owner for work prioritization and defining the short-term and long-term roadmap for the team.
  • Working on front-end UAT (User Acceptance Testing) before deploying any newly developed feature to production to make sure all test scenarios are taken into consideration.
  • Performing testing for data tracks using Adobe analytics.
  • Working very closely with UX designers to gather front-end design requirements of web pages that are designed using In-Vision.
  • Documenting SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Requirements and URL structures for web pages.
  • Working on Json files to manually enable website users to submit question and answers for brands sold on clients website.
  • Periodically integrating with AB testing team to test changes to webpages against the current design using Optimizely to determine which produces
