Project Description:

  • This role will support the Clients Geek Squad technology team.
  • Geek Squad is national largest consumer electronics service provider. 
  • Services includes repair, installation and delivery. 
  • We build easy to use and reliable technology for our Geek Squad agents so that they can serve our customers.


Position Summary/Job Description:

  • Modernize a Monolithic .Net Application using React, Microservices and Kafka
  • Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholder and engineering partners to continuously look for ways to improve the technology to better serve our customers
  • You will architect, design and implement cutting edge technology solutions for the Geek Squad business
  • Rigorous focus on refactoring and re-architecting as needed, to keep the technology maintainable, scalable, reliable and easy and quick to enhance
  • Constantly look for ways to improve the speed and quality of technology delivery

  • You have experience designing and building large scale distributed technologies involving web and cloud technologies. Primary technologies include React, Dot Net Core, ASP. NET, Azure Cloud, SQL Server
  • You will continue to keep your self updated on ever changing technology landscape
  • You have a great attitude, a self-starter and have the motivation to help drive modernizing a monolithic application.


What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job:

  • 5+ years of C# .Net Experience
  • 3+ years of dot net core experience
  • 3+ years of React Experience
  • 2+ years of Azure cloud experience
  • 2+ years of MS SQL Server Experience
  • 2+ years of Test Driven Development
  • 2+ years of large scale distributed architecture/design experience
