JOB DESCRIPTION

Entry level individual contributor position that serves as the business manager for a smaller or less complex book of business (collection of Sub-Brands or Classes of merchandise).  Responsible for translating the Merchants' vision into viable plans and profitable results. Develops and maintains sales, inventory and margin plans that tie to financial targets for an assigned book of business.  Planning responsibilities will include Sub-Brand, Category/Class, and assortment plans.  Partners with the Merchant & Planner to optimizes the assortment by cluster and channels of distribution (Stores, Internet, Catalogue, Wholesale).  Collaborate with the Demand Forecaster to ensure that demand plans incorporate statistically based forecasts, merchandise plans and business knowledge. Typically reports to Manager Plan & Demand Forecasting. Typically no direct reports.  
 
  • Stay up-to-date with assortment updates and inform partners in Shanghai.
  • Connect with Production teams as questions around projections, commits, and buys surface.
  • Work with manager to prepare team for upcoming buy strategies 
  • Support weekly business review meetings with data analysis and summaries.
  • Support bi-monthly Strategic meetings with data analysis and summaries.

Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in finance, operations, economics, business, statistics or equivalent experience.  
  • Less than 2+ years of experience in: retail merchandise planning, demand planning; inventory management, allocation or replenishment; financial planning or financial analysis experience.
