Description:

  • Apply financial knowledge to influence pricing, business performance, forecasting and financial planning and management activities.
  • Function as the voice of the customer across the enterprise, driving the appropriate solutions within and across each Optum and UHC line of business.
  • Communicate strategy, business value and customer success with impact.
  • Assist with the creation of effective product collateral, case studies, ROI stories, and win flashes.
  • Influence and negotiate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders to achieve win-win solutions that advance organizational goals.

Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • We are implementing interoperability standards across Optum. We will be moving the Optum lines of business to the strategic solution using the FHIR platform that is being built. We need someone to manage the financials, deliverables and assist with communications

Ideal Background:

  • Healthcare, program management, budget management, some product management.

Team and Team size:

  • Small team. 1 VP, 2 Sr. Directors. This individual will be supporting my team along with another delivery team, whose team is mostly in India.
Skills/attributes:
  • 5+ years program management, 5+ years financial management of programs, 2+ years healthcare, excellent communication, both verbal and written. Expert with Powerpoint, Excel and Word.

Nice to have:

  • . Financial management, business case creation experience, experience in the healthcare payer (health insurance) industry.

Interview Process:

  • a. How many rounds? 2
    b. Video vs. phone? I will accommodate whatever the candidate is comfortable with. It would be nice if the individual could be in the office occasionally.
    c. How technical will the interviews be? Low technical skill is required. The role requires the individual to understand tech and terminology in order to make recommendations and describe the solutions and recommendations to business partners.
