Primary Responsibilities:
  • Engineer, test, and deploy pages, modules and other web experiences with special focus on data visualization and animations of scientific data
  • Design, develop, and implement interactive visualization applications using modern JavaScript libraries
  • Integrate data visualization experiences with existing React application
  • Provide thought leadership, expertise, and knowledge sharing with other engineers on interactive visualization best practices
  • Collaborate with other squads, chapters and other functions throughout the organization to accomplish the brand vision.
  • Write unit, integration and functional tests using Jest, Enzyme, and Cypress
  • Leverage best-in-class web standards and technology to maximize the performance of front-end applications
  • Embrace the Agile principles and methodologies
  • Encourage personal growth and technical excellence through code review process
  • Technologies: Javascript, ReactJS, ImmerJS, Emotion, SCSS, Jest, Enzyme, Cypress

Position Requirements:  
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience and demonstrated development skills. 
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in software engineering and web development with an advanced knowledge of applying JavaScript to build engaging interactive data visualizations
  • 1+ year of professional experience with ReactJS
  • Experience with responsive design and development.
  • Strong experience with version control programs such as git.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and principles
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent team building and collaboration skills.
