Project Description:

  • The Attach team’s vision is to enhance the customer’s shopping experience by presenting them with accessrory, warranty, and service products that will supplement their initial product selection.  
  • We also aim to help customers find and ultimately purchase bundled products, such as laundry combos, or smart home collections. 
  • This team is responsible for building new and updating existing components for the website. 
  • The Attach team is split into 2 squads, where each scrum team works on a 2 week sprint cadence, focussing on the team’s vision, values & strategy.

Position Summary/Job Description:

  • This person will be located at our Corporate Headquarters in Richfield Minnesota and will be responsible for the gathering, translation, and articulation, of business and system requirements for the Attach Team. 
  • You'll work closely with Product, QA, User-Experience, Architecture, and Front-End Engineering to ensure that the Attach squads have all the information they need to run smoothly and continuously deliver better experiences for customers engaging with client through website.
  • You will also be building relationships with product teams’ leads to assist with cross-functional feature delivery. 
  • Without this role, we are missing a key piece of the puzzle and our end-product will inevitably suffer in terms of quality. 
  • A significant part of this role will be to analyze new feature definitions being dreamed up by Product Managers and understand the digital data systems and platforms well enough to build detailed technical requirements for front-end engineers to implement.
  • Responsible for the gathering, analyzing, and articulation of business and system requirements within our digital organization.
  • Requirements Elicitation (JAD sessions, document analysis, interface analysis, interviews, etc.}
  • Proactive assessment of feature ideas for dependencies and possible impediments, sharing assessments with Product Managers.
  • Facilitate communication between Product and Engineering about what's possible.
  • Occasional coordination with remote teams.
  • Create Agile JIRA stories to define needed engineering work.
  • Use established templates to document detailed requirements in the  Confluence Wiki environment.
  • Cross team collaboration to ensure development and release timings for large-scale projects are in sync.
  • Define detailed Acceptance Criteria that describes when story work is complete.
  • Participate in all Agile rituals including (but not limited to) Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Design Sessions, Retros, etc.
  • Assess and build out JSON data contracts.
  • Collaborate with team members and external teams to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Along with Tech Leads and Engineering Managers, provide ongoing support for team engineers, dependency teams, QA engineers, and leadership throughout the feature delivery process.

What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job:

  • 4+ years in a BSA or Technical BA role.
  • Excellent detailed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have worked in at least one Agile Development Environment.
  • Must have demonstrable experience analyzing, documenting, and iterating on new or existing technology systems.
  • Experience building JSON data contracts.

What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for:

  • Programming/development experience. 
  • So they understand how developers think.
  • So they can imagine how code can be written to accomplish a certain function.
