Team and Team size:

  •  Team  &  6-10

Top Responsibilities:

  • Mentor more junior Quality Engineers
  • Design functional and non?functional test cases that verify requirements and validate functionality
  • Analyze user stories and technical requirements for validity, feasibility and technical soundness and decompose them to extract positive and negative test scenarios and strong acceptance criteria
  • Detect, report, and track software defects
  • Execute all levels of testing including but not limited to: System, Integration; Component Level Regression
  • Use methodical and repeatable processes to verify releases meet quality standards before launch
  • Apply Quality Engineering principles throughout the agile product life cycle to identify defect and design flaws
  • Collaborate with the development team to improve the quality of the deliverables and ensure the business needs are met
  • Profile manual acceptance criteria and test cases and implement automation opportunities
  • Create and maintain reusable components, functions and libraries to reduce maintenance costs, increase efficiency and scalability

Software tools/skills:

  • 4+ years of enterprise software testing experience
  • 3+ years experience working in an Agile Development environment
  • 2+ years experience with development practices like Unit Testing, Test-Driven Development
  • 2+ years experience in Test Automation
  • Familiarity with one or more scripting/programming languages and/or tools such as: C++, C, MySQL, Perl, JAVA, Python
  • Experience with Automation Testing tools such as: Cucumber, Selenium, RestAssured
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, problem?solving and root?cause analysis skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced in test result evaluation, reporting and metrics
  • Highly self?motivated, goal orientated, and self?directed
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and innovate in a small team with a fast?paced environment, balancing both strategic and tactical needs

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Acceptance Testing and how it applies to Agile Testing
  • Experience with CA Agile/Rally application
  • Familiarity with Jenkins and/or other continuous integration tools (Docker, OpenShift)
  • Java coding experience
  • Gradle experience
  • Team Leadership

Interview Process:

  • a. How many rounds?
    i. Usually 1 round, extended to 2 if needed
    b. Video vs. phone?
    i. Conducted via Webex, Video is encouraged
    c. How technical will the interviews be?
    i. Interviews will be mostly technical questions to gauge the candidates knowledge on the tech stack required. No problems/tests are usually given, just basic knowledge questions.
