Overview:

Company launching a new Center for Digital Health (CDH) that is critical to the organization’s 10-year strategic plan for creating an integrated digital system that’s more accessible, scalable, and sustainable, while delivering increased external and internal consumer value. CDH will drive digital transformation to provide unparalleled digital experiences, unlock new business opportunities and increase internal operational excellence.

Position:

The UX Lead is responsible for leading and inspiring a UX design team to create engaging experiences that help our customers to lead safer and healthier lives.

 

Duties:

Specific deliverables for this role will include:

  • Being a strong conceptual and strategic thinker able to balance user needs and business goals
  • Partnering, collaborating and influencing key business, product and technology stakeholders to design experiences that balance business goals with technical feasibility
  • Influencing the scope, approach and high-level solutions for new, and iterations to, cross-product and platform customer experiences
  • Solving complex problems and identifying the ambiguities and opportunities of new product development
  • Adept at identifying Epics and Stories for your Product and Design team
  • Articulating the thinking behind your decisions to help your team, your product partners and leadership stakeholders make informed decisions
  • Responsible for hiring and onboarding new design team members
  • Mentoring your design team members with technical, communication and leadership skills
  • Being hands on in reviewing your UX team members work and helping them grow
  • Driving Design System/Pattern best practices and ensuring team members support the system ongoing
  • Being a thought leader for design at the Center for Digital Health, driving innovation alongside your product management and engineering partners
  • Collaborating with research partners to test and verify your team’s user experience solutions
  • Working closely with product and design teams to identify research topics and build a research roadmap; communicating and refreshing on a regular basis to ensure relevancy

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4+ years leading multi-disciplinary UX design teams, working hands-on, mentoring, developing and engaging with team members to design innovative digital consumer products
  • Experience with Agile processes and partnering with technical product management and developers for design implementation
  • A proven track record for delivering multiple products from ideation to launch, grounded in modern design process and UX strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and drive alignment with stakeholders across multiple organizations
  • Able to assert a point of view positively

 

Preferred:

  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating your process for creating great user-centered design solutions
  • Experience integrating and mentoring UX team members in a highly agile/scrum environment
  • Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Sketch, InVision, Axure, Principle, Framer, Flinto, Illustrator, Adobe XD
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI) or equivalent professional experience
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS (position does not include front-end development)
  • Experience developing and maintaining pattern libraries/design systems
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively
  • Experience in user research
  • Touch and mobile first experience
  • Experience designing for health and wellness
