The Post Sales Surveillance Data team is responsible for early identification of emerging product safety and quality issues through data mining, issue analysis, root cause identification, reporting and monitoring. 
 
The Data Analyst will be working closely with other members of the PSS team to analyze relevant product safety and quality data, develop and prepare reporting on potential product problems, defects, and safety-related issues, as well as develop tools and processes driving efficiencies and expanding capabilities within the team.  The Data Analyst will also support Technical Service, Engineering, Legal, Product Management, Consumer Marketing, and Regulatory groups with data mining and analysis needed for issue investigation, reporting to regulatory agencies, trend identification and root cause analysis. This position plays a critical role in protecting the brand through data analysis, issue trending, and issue identification/reporting.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
Collaborate with the Post Sales Surveillance team to develop and execute analytical approaches to identify and track potential emerging issues through data analysis
Understand business context and data elements of varying data sources
Conduct data queries, text mining, and consolidation of testing, manufacturing, and post-sales data for issue analysis
Perform data review and analysis to identify and classify potential safety and quality issues
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and develop reporting around relevant post-sales KPIs
Identify opportunities for work optimization and lead process improvements and automation in report and dashboard development and implementation
Support standard and ad-hoc analytic requests, providing accurate and timely data, analysis and insightful interpretations
Clearly communicate analysis findings, summarize results and provide recommendations to varying levels of the organization
Assist in preparation for field action, Product Action Plan meetings, and status updates
Other duties as assigned by the needs of the department or company

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
Minimum of two years of work experience in sales operations, supply chain, business analytics or business services/operations in a private or public setting
Excellent analytics and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated focus on results with strong organizational, decision-making, process and execution skills
Solid written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross functionally at all levels of an organization
Prior experience in data queries, analysis, and report generation
Proficiency in SQL for use in handling preparation and processing of large datasets
Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications and data visualization tools (PowerBI, DAX/PowerQuery)
Experience with R, Python or other programming languages (Java / C #/ C++)
Exposure to data engineering, ETL, data management and quality assurance
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Familiarity with Alteryx, Informatica PowerCenter Designer or MSFT SSIS
Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
Familiarity with entity modeling/star schema and DDL/DML
Interest in data science and machine learning
