  • lead the discovery and analysis of requirements for a number of agile scrum team (onshore and off-shore)
  • be responsible for creating and maintaining user stories with acceptance criteria for the whole team
  • will be team's proxy to HL7 workgroups and events
  • be positioned in Raleigh, NC, we're open to telecommuters for the right candidate
  • work typical on shore hours (9am-5pm ET) with occasional meetings earlier or later to support other time zones as needed

Top Responsibilities:

  • .candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis?
    - lead the discovery and analysis of requirements for an agile scrum team (onshore and off-shore)
    - responsible for creating and maintaining user stories
    - responsible for writing detailed acceptance criteria for user stories
    - acting as an Agile Product Owner (leading conversation with business teams, accepting work of the dev team)
    - will be team's proxy to HL7 workgroups and events
    - leading mapping of data between FHIR and proprietary systems
    - when applicable, designing UI screens wireframes
Job Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting FHIR over REST based systems analysis
  • Experience analyzing requirements for systems based on HL7 Implementation Guides
  • Very good understanding of SMART on FHIR concept
  • Good understanding CCD-A and CCD-A Templates
  • Good negotiation skills to get all stakeholders buy-in
  • Good communication skills
  • Great problem solving skills
  •  Good understanding of clinical domain coding standards i.e. CPT, ICD, LOINC etc.
  • Formal education in engineering or computer science
  • Experience working under minimal supervision
  • Experience working with a lot of ambiguity
  • Experience collecting requirements from business and converting them to requirements documentation (JIRA, TFS, MS Office, etc.)

Nice to have:

  • Product management mindset
  • Experience with EHRs technology as an end user or designer (EPIC, Allscripts, Cerner etc.)
  • Familiar with HIPAA and Privacy rules especially in relationship to payers domain
  • Familiar with Agile
  • Clinical background
  • Understanding of healthcare payer benefits space

Interview Process:

a. How many rounds? Hoping for a one round of a 60 min panel of 2-3 interviewers
b. Video vs. phone? WebEx
c. How technical will the interviews be? Not very technical. If a person has FHIR which would be ideal we’ll talk a bit about it. Mostly focusing on capability to break complex problems into features/user stories and team collaboration
