Description:

  • Development of new EDI maps primarily 837I/P, 835, 277CA, and xml documents.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of best coding practices.
  • Debug current operational mapping issues.
  • Design/deploy logical versioning schema.
  • Responds to other developers inquiries about mappings, Implementation Guide requirements and companion guide requirements for each client..

Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • .NHPRI Reconciliation efforts; State of MD Medicaid

Ideal Background:

  • .This position will be part of a team. The EDI team currently has 2 positions, EDI Principal Lead and EDI Operations..

Software tools/skills:

  • ..Altova MapForce, Altova XMLSpy, Altova FlowForce, SQL Managment Studio

Skills/attributes:

  • Detailed knowledge of 837I/P, 835, 277CA HIPAA Implementation Guide requirements.
  • Detailed knowledge of State/client companion guides.
  • Active EDI development skills using off the shelf mapping software.
  • SQL query skills required.
  • Familiarity with client/server software development.
  • Experience with developing mapping via GUI interface.
  • Ability to act autonomously.

Nice to have:

  • .XML and schema development.
    Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare Encounters reporting.
